Rayhill brings home women’s team title from Lamar rodeo
The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer rodeo competed in the Lamar Community College rodeo hosted October 4-6 where EWC brought home the women’s team title led by sophomore Karissa Rayhill.
Rayhill won 2nd in the goat tying average with times of 8.5 and 8.8 seconds. She was 2nd in the first round and split 2nd and 3rd in the short round. She also finished 4th in the average of the barrel racing. She won the short round with a time of 17.81. Placing in two events also earned her the women’s all-around title.
In the bull riding, freshman Brett McAbee, Ansley, NE, won 2nd in the first round with a score of 71.
The Lancers will conclude the fall season with a rodeo hosted by Laramie County Community College October 11-13.
