EWC Lancer Rodeo team kicks off season in Chadron
The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Rodeo team began the fall season with a rodeo in Chadron hosted by Chadron State College.
Sophomore Ty Bass won 5th in the team roping with partner Ellie Bard from Gillette College. The team placed 5th in the first round with a time of 7.8 seconds, 5th in the short round with a time of 14.0, and finished 5th in the average.
In the bull riding, sophomore Brett McAbee qualified for the short round with a first-round score of 65.
The Lancers will compete in Cheyenne, WY, September 18-20. The annual rodeo hosted by Laramie County Community College will be held at Frontier Park.
