Liljedahl & Lancers ranked 1st in Nation

Eastern Wyoming College’s Boden Liljedahl is ranked first in the nation for digs and digs per set, according to the NJCAA. As a team, the Lancers also ranked first in the nation for digs and fourth in digs per set. The Lancers went 2-2 over the weekend in the Salt Lake Community College Tournament held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The tournament featured teams ranked in the top 15 teams in the nation. “We showed we can play with the top teams,” Lancer head coach George Hamilton said. The Lancers beat the College of Southern Idaho, the 13th team in the nation, and lost in four sets to Utah State Eastern, the 11th ranked team in the nation. Their second loss came at the hands of the nation’s fourth ranked team, Salt Lake Community College. The Lady Lancers will compete this weekend in the Trinidad State Tournament in Trinidad, Colorado.
