EWC competes in CSC rodeo
The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer rodeo team competed in the annual Chadron State College rodeo held September 17-19.
Sophomore Karissa Rayhill, Martin, SD, had strong performances in the barrel racing and the goat tying earning her the reserve all-around title. In barrel racing, she was 5th in the first round, 3rd in the short round and 2nd in the average. She was 2nd in the first round of goat tying with a time of 7.3 seconds and finished 5th in the average.
In the steer wrestling, freshman Tegun Spring from Wall, SD, was 5th in the first round with a time of 5.8 seconds. He finished 5th in the short round and average as well. Sophomore Trayton Travnicek was 3rd in the first round with a time of 5.1.
The Lancers will travel to Sheridan, Wyoming September 24-26 to compete in the Sheridan College rodeo.
