EWC finishes fall rodeo season in Lamar

The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Rodeo team concluded the fall season with a rodeo hosted by Lamar Community College held in Lamar, CO. Several Lancers qualified for the short round.

In the tie-down roping, sophomore Cameron Jensen, Bingham, NE, was 5th in the short round with a time of 10.3 seconds, landing him 5th in the average for the weekend. Jensen also placed 4th in the first round of team roping with partner Riley Ruland, sophomore, Wall, SD. The pair finished the weekend in 6th place in the short round and average.

Teammates Dalton Wieneke, West Point, NE, and Canton Afdahl, Torrington, WY also qualified for the short round of the team roping. They were 6th in the first round with a time of 7.8 seconds.

Sophomore Shay Hough, Gillette, WY, placed 4th in the short round of the barrel racing and 6th in the average.

The Lancers will continue their quest for College National Finals Rodeo qualifications with the spring season kicking off in March 2021.
