EWC Hosts Youth Rodeo Camp

TORRINGTON, Wyo. – The Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo program will host its annual Youth Rodeo Camp on Thursday, April 9, offering young participants an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of rodeo in a fun and supportive environment.

Led by EWC Rodeo Coach Whit Peterson along with members of the EWC Rodeo Team, the camp is open to students in grades 1 through 6, regardless of prior rodeo experience. The event is designed to introduce participants to college rodeo while helping them develop and enhance their skills.

Campers will have the chance to ride horses, participate in ground events such as goat tying and roping, and try out the bucking machine. In addition to hands-on instruction, the camp provides an opportunity for youth to interact with current collegiate athletes and gain insight into the sport.

The camp will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Goshen County Fairgrounds Pavilion. The registration fee is $40, which includes a camp T-shirt and all activities. Participants are encouraged to register early to ensure they receive a T-shirt.
