EWC to Celebrate 77 th Commencement Ceremony

TORRINGTON, Wyo. – Eastern Wyoming College will celebrate its 77th commencement ceremony Friday, May 8, in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium on the college’s campus.

The ceremony will honor the achievements of the Class of 2026, with graduates from a wide range of academic and career programs participating in the milestone event. This year’s commencement speaker is Scott “Ote” Berry, a four-time World Champion steer wrestler and Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee. Berry is widely respected in the rodeo community for his accomplishments and his commitment to excellence, perseverance and hard work — values that align closely with the mission of Eastern Wyoming College.

EWC President Jeffry Hawes said commencement represents both an ending and a beginning for students. “This is one of the most meaningful days of the year for our college,” Hawes said. “We are incredibly proud of our graduates and the determination they have shown to reach this point. Their success reflects not only their hard work, but also the support of faculty, staff, family and friends. We are excited to see the impact they will make in their communities and careers.”

The ceremony is expected to draw family members, friends, faculty and staff to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduates and recognize their transition to the next stage of their lives.

Eastern Wyoming College invites the public to attend and join in honoring the Class of 2026.
