EWC Volleyball Players Earn Week Three North Division Player of the Week Honors

TORRINGTON, Wyo. – Eastern Wyoming College volleyball players Guilia Ribero and Ena Barakovac were named the North Division Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 3 of the season.

Ribero earned North Division Offensive Player of the Week honors following her standout performance for the Lancers. Her selection also puts her in consideration for the national Player of the Week award.

Barakovac was named the North Division Defensive Player of the Week after making a significant impact defensively for EWC.

The Week 3 Player of the Week selections were announced following voting among coaches from the region. The defensive voting resulted in a tie between Barakovac of Eastern Wyoming College and Dafne Diaz of Trinidad State College, who was named the South Division Defensive Player of the Week.

The other Week 3 honors went to Chavon Weaver of Northeastern Junior College, who was selected as the South Division Offensive Player of the Week.

The honors continue a strong start to the season for the Lancers, with Ribero and Barakovac earning recognition among the top players in the North Division.
