In a release from the National Junior College Athletic Association website, the Eastern Wyoming College golf team has been named the 2018-2019 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year for men’s golf with a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.61.

“This group of men accomplished a lot of great things last year but this is probably the thing I’m most proud of,” said Coach Zach Smith. “We always talk about how important it is to do well in the classroom and to complete your college education. All four of our sophomores have transferred on to continue their collegiate golf careers but more importantly to finish their degrees. I couldn’t be happier for this group to be recognized for their hard work.”
