Program Overview
The cosmetology program offers students a unique opportunity to combine the cosmetology coursework while experiencing the college atmosphere and student life. Students complete 1800 clock hours of cosmetology coursework and have the opportunity to broaden their studies through general education requirements. Students enrolled in cosmetology have the opportunity to earn an Associate of Applied Science or a certificate in hair, aesthetics, nails, or barbering. These students will also be prepared to take the national exam for entering the cosmetology field.

Our instructors at Eastern Wyoming College stay current with new techniques through continuing education and are dedicated to building a strong foundation of education in cosmetology. In addition to this, the instructors and students travel to cosmetology shows around the area to places like Rapid City, South Dakota and Denver, Colorado.

Why You Should Study Cosmetology & Barbering
Students enrolled in the cosmetology programs will gain experience not only in the classroom but on the floor as well. As part of the cosmetology degree and certificate programs, students will perform services to clients ranging from manicures and pedicures to waxing and facials to cutting and perming hair. These experiences work well with one another and assist the students as they are preparing to sit for the national exam.
