Trucks are for Girls event planned at EWC

Eastern Wyoming College, in partnership with Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming (GSMW) and Women in Trucking are hosting the first ever transportation expo, Trucks are for Girls.

Girl Scouts from around the region will gather at Eastern Wyoming College, Douglas Campus on Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

“Those attending will learn about the trucking industry and its important role in the economy while getting up-close experience with a tractor-trailer, coach, school bus, and more,” Vice President of the Douglas Campus, Margaret Farley said. “Participants will leave the event with a better understanding of what keeps America moving and how they can be a part of it.”

Participating vendors include Coach USA, Casper Port of Entry, Wyoming Department of Transportation CDL examiners and training facility auditors, Carps Logistics of Gillette, and Converse County School District #1. Members of the Eastern Wyoming College Lancers Volleyball team will also be in attendance.
