Administrative Regulation:  Formal Recognition of Professional Development for All Employees

Regulation Number:  3.8.1

All EWC employees are eligible to request formal and public recognition of professional development activities and inclusion of that recognition within their personnel file. Such activities may relate to any aspect of the employee’s career or personal interests. Application for Professional Development Recognition and Salary Advancement forms are available from the Human Resources office and electronically and should be submitted after the completion of the activity, accompanied by proof or certificate of completion.

Criteria

Professional development activities appropriate for formal recognition include: academic credit, technical and continuing education, internships, field experience, research projects, workshops, seminars, conferences, special projects, and publications.

Process

  • If the application form is not approved and signed by the supervisor, the individual may appeal to the College President for approval.
  • Activities must be completed during employment at Eastern Wyoming College.
