Educational Goals

The MA program at EWC focuses on the healthcare field as a whole, allowing students to gain a medical knowledge background in order to be successful and to stand out in their field.

Program Highlights

Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the National Certified Medical Assistant and National Certified Phlebotomy Technician exams through the National Center for Competency Testing*.

CNA II Course

Continuing education gathered from a CNA course, this course assists a CNA to expand their abilities and knowledge to provide better patient care.

  • Offered Each Spring Semester in multiple locations

Requirements:

  • Must be a CNA with 1500 hours documented working experience as a CNA
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or HSEC
  • Must have manager or DON written approval from your facility to attend
  • Must attend all classes

Medication Assistant – Certified

This course prepares a student to assume the role and responsibilities of a Medication Aide after successfully completing a 40 hour CNA II Course.
