Lancer Rodeo Returns to Torrington
March 28-30, 2025

TORRINGTON, Wyo. — Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) is excited to welcome rodeo fans to the Rendezvous Center in Torrington, Wyoming for EWC’s annual Lancer Rodeo from March 28-30. This action-packed weekend will showcase the skills of collegiate rodeo athletes.

The Lancer Rodeo will kick off on Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m., continue on Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. and wrap up on Sunday, March 30 at 11 a.m.

Admission is just $5 per adult, with children 18 and under entering for free.

 

New Line & Swing Dancing Club at EWC

A new club has just started at EWC and it is a Line and Swing Dancing Club. The club members meet every Thursday in the Auditorium on the Torrington Campus. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to come and learn how to dance to outstanding western and pop music. The club was started by EWC students Cal Clucas, Mary Collins, Haily Lien, and Cooper Phillipss. Those attending will be instructed by the founding members of the club to many steps of line and swing dancing. Members of the community are invited. Come out and join the club for an awesome time.

EWC to Hold Listening Session with Dr. Jeffry Hawes in Lusk

Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) will host a Listening Session with EWC President Dr. Jeffry Hawes on Thursday, March 20, at noon in the Niobrara County High School auditorium, 702 W. 5th St., Lusk, Wyoming.

The session will give community members a chance to provide feedback on what’s working well, suggest areas for improvement, and ask questions about EWC programs and initiatives.

Two additional Listening Sessions are scheduled: one in Douglas on April 1 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and another in Glenrock on April 1 from noon to 1:30 p.m. More sessions will be announced.
