TORRINGTON, WY –
The annual conference of Wyoming Lifelong Learning Association (WLLA) was recently held in Casper. As part of the conference each year, several individuals are recognized for their outstanding service. Many individuals from Eastern Wyoming College were recognized for their outstanding commitment to lifelong learning.
Connie Woehl, Associate Dean for Outreach and Learning received the commendation for Outstanding Regional Leader for the State of Wyoming. “This is the highest award that Connie could have received from WLLA” said Diane McQueen. Woehl was recognized for her tireless efforts of encouraging students to not give up on their dreams.
Klancie Britton, Moorcroft, Wyoming, was named the Outstanding ABE/GED/ESL Educator for Wyoming. She serves both Moorcroft and Upton.
Rocio Nesbitt, Torrington, Wyoming, received the Outstanding Adult Life Long Learner award.
Also Cathy Riddle, the English as a Second Language instructor in Wheatland won the Outstanding Service Award from Head Start in May 2009.
Diane McQueen, Director of ABE in Torrington and Kim Conzelman, Newcastle Outreach Coordinator are Executive Board Members of WLLA.
