EWC announces Vondy as new director of athletics and fitness center

Eastern Wyoming College has announced that David Vondy has been hired as the new director of athletics and fitness center. Vondy will start at EWC on July 1, 2014.
He has a combined 17 years of administrative experiences in athletics directing, fitness centers, corporate sponsorships, fundraising, marketing, facilities and event management. David has a Master’s of Science degree in sport and exercise science and his educational leadership and policy studies degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from Western State Colorado University. David was a first round Hall of Fame Inductee for Wrestling and Football. He was a wrestling Academic All-American. He has served on numerous committees in the Mountaineer Athletic Association, Youth Sports Director at WSCU. He has also served as a graduate assistant wrestling coach at UCN, athletic director in Yuma, Brush and Holyoke Colorado schools.
