TORRINGTON, WY –
Eastern Wyoming College art student Stacey Bradford will be holding a graduation exhibition. Bradford’s art will be on display November 8-November 19 in the EWC Fine Arts Center Lobby. A reception and artist talk will be held on Thursday, November 18th, 2 – 3 pm. Refreshments will be provided.
Bradford’s exhibition will be a collection of painting, sculpture, drawing and video installation. He will be completing his associate of arts degree in art this fall.
In the future, Bradford plans to pursue a career as an art instructor at the university level. He would like to teach digital art, painting and drawing. He is currently applying to transfer colleges. Bradford shared that his inspiration comes from a variety of sources such as an artist he admires. His favorite medium to work with is oil painting because of the emotional connection he feels as he is painting.
“Several teachers here at EWC have inspired me to do more things outside of the box,” shared Bradford, “they have shown me different techniques and I am thankful for that.”
EWC art instructor Daniel Fielder shared the following about Bradford, “Stacey is hard working and conscientious. My job is to guide Stacey. I offer him formal suggestions and discuss his content. My goal is not to destroy his individual spirit and creative instinct.”
Bradford came to EWC from Cortez, CO.
