EWC Livestock Judging team participates in Flint Hill Classic and Aksarben Competition

TORRINGTON, WY –
The Eastern Wyoming College livestock judging team recently returned from two judging competitions in Kansas and Nebraska. The team competed in The Flint Hill Classic in El Dorado, Kansas and The Aksarben Judging Competition held in Omaha, Nebraska.
Team members include Sara Aschenbrenner, Minatare, NE., Susie Button, Edgemont, SD., Shianna Frye, Harrisburg, NE., Kaden and Keelyn Hubbard, Mitchell, Ne., Megan McLaughlin, Alliance, NE., Jerry Protsman, Simila, CO., Paula Rector, Cheyenne, WY., Frank Ringleman, Minatare, NE and Morgan Vogt, Strasburg, CO.
At the Aksarben competition the freshman team ended up 3rd overall, 3rd Reasons, 3rd Sheep/Goat Division, 3rd Cattle Division and 3rd Swine Division. Sara Aschenbrenner earned 1st Individual in the Swine Division and 5th Individual Overall with Kaden Hubbard earning 5th Individual in the Beef Division.
Livestock Judging Coach Rob Eirich had the following to say about his team, “Both Sophomore and Freshman teams are progressing well here at the beginning of the year.”
