EWC Main Campus under Brief Lockdown

On Thursday, January 4, 2018, the Eastern Wyoming College main campus in Torrington was briefly placed on a voluntary lockdown. Upon notification from the Torrington Police Department of a potential armed individual in the area, College officials decided to place the campus on lockdown. The college was notified by the Torrington Police Department approximately 20-25 minutes later that there was no longer a threat and the lockdown was lifted.
