EWC wins NJC scrimmage
The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Golf team won the Region IX scrimmage hosted by Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO on Friday, September 25. The Lancers scored 290 for the win. McCook Community College was second with a score of 309.
“We had our best scrimmage thus far in Sterling,” said Coach Zach Smith. “We were close to our team goal, which showed we’ve been making some positive strides. I was very happy to see Eric shoot under par and bring home the individual win. We have a lot to work on the rest of the fall but we are excited to work hard to get ready for the spring semester.”
Winning the tournament was sophomore Erin Stevens, Bridgeport, NE with a score of 70. Other Lancer scores were as follows:
