EWC presents Researching Calamity Jane: A Can of Worms

The Community Education office at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington presents speaker Glenda Bell on Tuesday, March 24 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in Tebbet room 131 in Torrington, Wyoming. This presentation is free and open to the public. Registration is required to help in seating.
Jane Canary, aka “Calamity Jane”—who was this Missouri farm girl who trudged West with her preacher father seeking gold? Having researched Jane for 27 years, Glenda Bell examines the fact, the fiction, and the fantasy surrounding this western icon. Glenda a graduate from the University of Wyoming, former Junior High teacher of English, Geography, and Director of Libraries/AV for the Billings, MT Public schools will share her research and her passion for the life of Calamity Jane as a part of EWC’s focus on Women in History Month.
