EWC to host Business After Hours, April 24th 5-7pm

Eastern Wyoming College in celebration of Community College month will be hosting Business After Hours on April 24, 2012 from 5 pm to 7 pm beginning in the Fine Arts Lobby. Guest will then have the opportunity to tour the newly remodeled areas of the college.
At 7 pm in Tebbet rooms 131 and 132 Wyoming Humanities Council speaker Audrey Cotherman, will present The Role of Public Education In Developing Citizenship. Ms Cotherman traces the history of public education in the United States and focuses on changes from its early purpose of developing citizens in a self-governing society to the present-day emphasis on preparing workers.
Audrey Cotherman was the founding director of the Wyoming Humanities Council and has held posts in the U.S. Department of Education and the Wyoming Department of Education. She is chairwoman of the Natrona County School Board of Trustees.
