The Testing Center at Eastern Wyoming College has just become certified with Pearson VUE to administer a whole host of industry certification exams, including the Wyoming Insurance Commission Exams and the Wyoming MACE (Medication Aide) exams.  Pearson VUE is the leader in computer-based testing serving test owners and test takers in nearly every industry.

Other types of exams now available include a variety professional licensure and industry certification exams including information technology, health and medical, various business processes, wealth management, banking and finance, communications, and trade apprenticeships.  For a full list of Pearson Vue exams offered at EWC please contact the Testing Center or visit the Pearson Vue website.

The Center also signed up with Public Safety Testing in Lynnwood, Washington to administer the pre-employment exams (written only) for the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

“We are excited to add these two new testing companies to the list of services we offer to members of the community and surrounding area,” shared JoEllen Keigley, Director of the Testing Center.  “Until now, individuals needing to take a Pearson Vue exam or the WHP exam had to drive to another community, often as far away as Casper, or Denver, sometimes even requiring an overnight stay.  Being able to take an exam at EWC will be much more convenient, less costly, and provide a more pleasant testing experience without the stress of a long road trip.”

The Testing Center also provides makeup and distance learning exams for EWC students, exams for other colleges and universities, placement exams (ACCUPLACER), High School Equivalency Testing (HiSET), CLEP exams, industry certification exams from Scantron/Castle Worldwide, and pre-employment testing from PSI/PAN for the Transportation Security Administration, Border Patrol, FBI and other government agencies.
