Lancer Student Athletes recognized as All-Academic Teams
In a release from the National Junior College Athletic Association website, Student-athletes from around the nation contributed to a new NJCAA record as 6,656 participants earned a spot on one of the three NJCAA All-Academic teams.
Eastern Wyoming College had fifteen student athletes named to the 2018-2019 NJCAA All-Academic Teams. The criteria for the NJCAA All-Academic First Team is a 4.00 GPA, Second Team is 3.80-3.99 GPA, and Third Team is 3.60-3.79 GPA.
Named to the All-Academic First Team were: Emily Buchanan, Women’s Basketball, Yoder, WY; Kelliann Raff, Women’s Basketball, Westminster, CO; George Elliott, Golf, Salisbury, England; Lissette Lefforge, Volleyball, Akron, CO; and Mason Hale, Golf, Atkinson, NE.
Named to the All-Academic Second Team were: Jacob Pfaffinger, Men’s Basketball, Ft. Collins, CO; Jonatan Arvidsson, Men’s Basketball, Lulea, Sweden; Jordan Potts, Men’s Basketball, Bothell, WA; Nicole Cutler, Women’s Basketball, Palmerston North, New Zealand.
EWC student athletes named to the NJCAA All-Academic Third Team were; Colby Clay, Golf, Laramie, WY; Earl Baker, Jr., Men’s Basketball, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands; Inés Salat Margarit, Women’s Basketball, Barcelona Spain; Jo Vin Tan, Golf, Taiping, Malaysia; Kodi Edwards, Volleyball, Gillette, WY; and R J Moya, Golf, Three Rivers, Texas.
