Program Overview
Careers in accounting, marketing, management and finance all begin with accounting or business administration degrees. At EWC, you can take your first two years in small classes with professors who are there to help and give advice. When you complete the two-year program headed by Professor Ellen Creager, JD, MA, you will have the training, tools, and confidence you need to head on to your four-year college.
“The opportunities that students have at EWC can be seen in the graduates we have all across Wyoming, practicing as CPAs, running their own businesses, and managing large firms.,” Creagar says.
“We support our students and focus on the stable and lucrative career opportunities in these fields. It’s very powerful,” Creagar says. “Our students have immediate and direct contact with their professors.
We are small enough that we know your name and care about you. We are available for you and enjoy conversations about what you want to do and how we can help you get there. We will help you figure things out, from financial aid to transferring. That’s what you can expect when you get to us. Our department reflects the bigger mission of the college: we are welcoming, warm, and we have a clear student-centered vision.”
According to a student discussing one of the experiences EWC offers: “The opportunity to attend the Business Ethics competition at University of Wyoming is an irreplaceable experience which provides each student with exceptional knowledge and practice, as well as valuable friendships. Most importantly, it equips us to walk into the business world ready to strive towards ethical goals and values.”
“Our students go on to become what they dream of,” concludes Creagar.
