Program Overview

It is impossible to overemphasize the value of mathematics as a tool in other fields, notably engineering, physical science, and statistics. Also, recent developments in the fields of biological, behavioral, and social sciences have drawn attention to the power of mathematics.

Along with the teaching of mathematics and research into pure mathematics, students majoring in mathematics also have many other options open to them such as but not limited to: teaching, actuarial science, computer science, operations research, bio-mathematics, cryptography, and finance.
