The Mission of the Eastern Wyoming College Foundation is to develop financial resources to support student opportunity, quality educational resources and the learning environment at Eastern Wyoming College, and to serve as advocates within the EWC community to further the goals of the Foundation and the College.
The Eastern Wyoming College Foundation was established in 1964 to engage community interest and support for student opportunity beyond the capacity of State funding for the college district budget. A priority of the Foundation is to build the strongest possible relationships with its donors and communities that strengthen the College and student opportunity.
The Eastern Wyoming College Foundation is a qualified IRS 501 c 3 charitable organization and operates under an annually reviewed memorandum of agreement with the EWC board of trustees.
Foundation investments are overseen by the Finance and Investment committee of the Foundation, with staff support from the college’s office of Administrative Services and the Development office. Investments are managed primarily through Edward Jones and Fidelity. The Finance Committee operates within its approved investment policy and expenditure policy and is audited annually in conjunction with the EWC college audit.
