Eastern Wyoming College officials have announced finalized plans for the start of the spring 2021 semester which begins on Tuesday, January 19^th.

Students attending at the main campus in Torrington will begin all courses as originally scheduled. For example, students who registered for a class that is scheduled to be delivered face-to-face, will attend face-to-face. Students who registered for a class that is scheduled to be delivered online, will attend the class online.

Students attending at the Douglas Campus will begin classes in a blended model. Those students in hands-on programs such as gunsmithing and nursing, will attend classes face-to-face. Students in other courses will begin the semester in a zoom or online delivery method. Students should directly email their instructor to confirm the mode of delivery of their scheduled course.

College officials review campus, county, state and national data on a weekly basis and will make modifications to course delivery, at three-week intervals, as warranted by collected data.

Residence hall students will be required to complete a health screening form during the check-in process.  Spring 2021 student residence life will be limited to students residing in housing during the fall 2020 semester. New housing requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Housing Director. Please contact Mr. Jim Rorabaugh for additional information. EWC mandates that masks will be worn in all EWC facilities, even if individuals are able to maintain six-foot social distancing. All state and county public health orders will be strictly followed at all times on every campus and in each facility.

The EWC Operational Plan, which is currently being finalized, breaks modes of operation down into three phases based on the analysis of collected data. Based on that review, the Torrington Campus will begin operations following Phase I guidelines and adherence to state and county health orders. The Douglas Campus will begin operations following Phase II guidelines and adherence to state and county health orders.
