EWC wins McCook tournament
The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer men’s golf team competed in McCook, NE September 2-3 where they won the tournament with a score of 601. McCook Community College was second with 610.
“It’s always great to earn a team win at McCook, especially after going into the second day 1 stroke behind McCook and with a strong region this year,” said Coach Zach Smith. “It was nice to play there with 2 days of pleasant weather, which rarely happens for their tournament. We are looking forward to our home tournament this week.”
Leading the Lancers was freshman Joshua Wiese, Cape Town, South Africa. He shot 74, 74 – 149 and tied for 4th. Other Lancer scores were as follows:

The Lancers host their home tournament on September 9-10.
