EWC’s Business Ethics Team 3peats
Eastern Wyoming College team wins the Wyoming Business Ethics Case Competition at the University of Wyoming for the third year in a row.
The Lancer team consisted of sophomore Ana Djurovic from Belgrade, Serbia, sophomore Nikoleta Tatar from Cetinje, Montenegro, and freshman Weston Klatt from Dickinson, North Dakota. The team’s adviser was EWC’s Ellen Creagar, J.D., MA, Professor of Business Law and Social Sciences.
As part of the competition, the team played the role of a consulting firm advising a board of directors. The Lancers presented their recommendations in a 10-minute presentation and then fielded five minutes of questions from the judges. The team also prepared an Executive Summary as part of the competition.
“We had tremendous community support and those great vibes were with us throughout our time in Laramie,” Creagar said. “The UW Business Ethics group is so organized and welcoming. They are fantastic hosts”
“It’s really a great event in every way,” she added. “Ultimately, it was such an honor and delight to coach Ana, Weston and Nikoleta. They worked hard all semester, tirelessly the month before the competition, meeting every day and coming to sessions prepared. They were flexible and bold, eager and committed. It doesn’t get any better than that as an educator.”
