EWC’s Rayhill places at CNFR
Eastern Wyoming College Lancer rodeo student Karissa Rayhill who qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper had a strong showing.
Karissa Rayhill, Martin, SD, placed 9th in the nation in goat tying, and finished 21st in the nation in barrel racing. The Lancer women’s team finished 17th in the nation for this rodeo season.
“I’m proud of what Karissa accomplished this year. Her hard work and determination is unparalleled. I know that she was hoping to finish better in the short round, but I know it wasn’t from a lack of hard work,” said EWC Rodeo Coach Whit Peterson. “I wish her all the best in the future.”
The Lancers will kick off the fall rodeo season in September.
