Entering EWC Freshman
(first time enrolling in a college)
- Complete the EWC Application for Admission (even if you are part-time).
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), listing EWC’s Federal School Code (003929). The FAFSA is also available in Spanish (clink on the “Espanol” link in the upper right hand corner to change languages).
- Complete EWC’s scholarship application.
- Apply for other scholarships.
- Submit an official high school or GED transcript to EWC. If you are currently a high school senior, please submit a current transcript and then a final official transcript upon graduation.

(attended another college prior to enrolling at EWC)
- Complete the EWC Application for Admission (even if you are part-time).
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), listing EWC’s Federal School Code (003929). The FAFSA is also available in Spanish (click on the “Espanol” link in the upper right hand corner to change languages).
- Please be aware that financial aid does not “automatically” transfer from one school to another and that aid you received at one school can impact your annual eligibility at another. Contact the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions.
- Complete EWC’s scholarship application.
- Apply for other scholarships.
- Submit official transcripts to EWC from all colleges previously attended. This includes unaccredited institutions, institutions where you completed a degree that is not related to your current interest area, and institutions where you were enrolled, but did not earn credits.
- Submit an official high school or GED transcript to EWC.
Continuing Student
(has completed at least one semester at EWC)
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), listing EWC’s Federal School Code (003929). The FAFSA is also available in Spanish (click on “Espanol” in the upper right corner to change languages). FAFSAs must be completed for each academic year, but do not need to be resubmitted between semesters.
- Complete EWC’s scholarship application. You can complete this application every semester you attend.
- Apply for other scholarships.

Summer Aid
All students seeking scholarships or federal financial aid for the Summer must complete EWC’s online scholarship application. Availability of summer scholarships is based on funding available. Federal aid for summer is based on amount of annual Pell and loan already used for the academic year in comparison with annual limits. Graduating high school seniors CAN get federal aid for the summer semester, but must submit the current year’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit a final, official high school transcript. A separate award package is created for the summer semester.

TRiO’s Educational Opportunity Center and Coordinators can assist with ACT prep, career exploration, admissions applications, FAFSA completion, and scholarship help. They are a free, grant-funded service not tied to any specific school, and are willing to meet outside of regular business hours if necessary. A list of all Wyoming representatives can be reviewed on UW’s EOC page. EOC also provides a list of scholarships for students to view and sort through.
